A Historic Event in Women's Philanthropy: The Importance of Legacy with Kathleen Loehr

$25.00*

Virtual

Having recently announced her retirement, Women’s Philanthropy trailblazer and celebrated author, Kathleen Loehr, has crafted a truly unique way of entrusting her legacy and work so that Women’s Philanthropy continues to grow and engages stakeholders who will take it into the future.

She’s leaving her papers and studies to Indiana University, but she’s leaving everything else to a newly formed elite group of eight women who will carry the mantle as thought leaders and industry experts on Women’s Philanthropy: the Women’s Philanthropy Alliance. Deconstructing Development creator and co-host, Yolanda F. Johnson is among this select group of experts.

Don’t miss this poignant conversation on the importance of legacy and most of all, how we as women trailblazers can intentionally leave our legacies.

Principal, Kathleen Loehr & Associates

Kathleen Loehr is the principal of Kathleen Loehr & Associates. She has thirty-five years of experience in partnership with university and nonprofit leaders, as well as philanthropists. She combines nonprofit expertise, fundraising, coaching, and strategy to help individuals and groups navigate change.

Kathleen is a national thought leader and expert regarding the role of women in modern philanthropy, and their role more frequently in the philanthropic driver seat, given the increased money being earned and inherited, and their influence in the household giving. Kathleen translated the research on how women give into practical action fundraisers can take.

Her book, Gender Matters: A Guide to Growing Women’s Philanthropy, was published by CASE in August 2018. Kathleen was a C-suite leader of fundraising for the American Red Cross, Save the Children, the International Crisis Group, and key departments at Cornell University. From 2009 until 2021, Kathleen was a member and then chair of the Advisory Council for the Women’s Philanthropy Institute at the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy.

Kathleen received a BA in Government from Cornell University’s College of Arts and Sciences. For more information, see www.kathleenloehr.com.
